Human Resources Manager
CurrentResponsible for administering policies and programs covering employment, compensation, benefits, performance management, employee relations, recruiting and retention, and compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws. • Analyze and compare internal positions against local, county, state and regional job markets for competitiveness and attraction of high potential candidates. • Provide performance management guidance to department heads on the process of evaluating employees, setting goals, conducting objective performance reviews, and recognizing and awarding performance to improve productivity. • Designed HR policies and procedures including creating an Employee Handbook, recruiting/hiring staff, initiating new hire onboarding and training programs. • Engage with benefits carriers to negotiate plans to increase employee coverage and lower out-of-pocket costs. • Develop, refine, implement and improve methods, procedures and tools to produce maximum effectiveness and efficiency in payroll processing. • Handle employee terminations, grievances and other sensitive matters in a discreet, respectful and fair manner; working closely with legal counsel and management to ensure compliance and offering recommendations for corrective action and continuous improvement. • Provide HR services and support to department heads to provide guidance on employee relations issues, procedures and guidelines and the interpretation of company policies. • Develop job profiles and source candidates from major job boards; select, interview and hire candidates to fulfill job openings. • Develop, implement and maintain a safety program to exceed OSHA requirements • Developed, implemented and delivered HR training with a focus on learning and developmental needs for business units, individuals and management.
