CurrentSoles 2 Souls is a 501(c)(3) organization that aims to provide quality shoes to marginalized communities in the greater Phoenix area. I co-founded Soles 2 Souls with Alec Bansal back in September of 2021. Growing up, sneaker culture was very important to me and having a new pair of shoes was always an essential. On a hot day in September, we encountered a homeless individual on Scottsdale Road with very run-down shoes. This really touched us because we are very passionate about shoes and know how important it is to have a nice, functioning pair of sneakers. After this encounter, we began to notice more and more that many people lack a solid pair of shoes to get them through their day’s work. With this in mind, we decided to start our non-profit to provide these essentials to individuals in our community who are in need. We then pivoted from handing shoes out on the streets to working with other non-profit organizations to assist those living on the margins. Today, we continue on this mission as we bring "Souls 2 Soles" to fruition.

Graphic Designer And Worker
At Jake Nothing, I took on a fluid position that helped with a few different jobs. I helped with the physical labor of pressing t-shirts, working with tie-dye, and moving boxes in and out of storage. I also helped with graphic design work from manipulating logos onto clothing for mockups to cleaning up graphics. Finally, I worked on digital marketing while managing the Jake Nothing Tik Tok page. This consisted of producing videos and coming up with the ideas for future shorts.
