  Jacob is a transplant to the Bay Area from Montana where he worked on cattle ranches, gardened, and provided guided herb walks in the Bozeman foothills on summer weekends. He is a native to the Cascade range of Washington state, growing up on a small farm near the national forest, where he learned to raise livestock and developed a deep knowledge and passion for animals and the native flora of that area. Before heading out to Montana, he and his wife, Chesica, studied at Washington State University where Jacob received a B.S. in Animal Science. He brings a diverse set of skills and abilities to Circlefoot that range from carpentry and animal husbandry to native plant medicine and gardening expertise. It is Jacob’s long term vision to contribute significantly to helping his community revive the disappearing arts of self sufficiency and increase public knowledge and responsible relationship with the natural world we all share.
