Hands-on inspection of conveyors for proper installation and operation at Walmart Distribution Center in Hershey, PA.Supported the installation team with resolving issues related to the conveyor system design. Served as the primary communication link for new design revisions to the installation team. This review identified out-of-date drawings for approximately 20% of the system and new drawings were provided to prevent further installation errors. Resolved manufacturing assembly defects on installed conveyors by creating a new assembly guide for installers to reference. Reduced the reordered parts needed from 100% to 50% and enabled the reconfiguration of the remaining on-site parts. Led quality control of approximately seventy 2-D drawings and provided approval for the project leader. This saved engineering resources for the project by reducing the number of checks needed for each drawing.Mentor to first rotation co-ops. Conducted regular meetings with eight other co-ops, and answered daily questions they had regarding project work or troubleshooting.

Conducted a complete redesign of a multi-lane merge feeding into a scanning system on the first international distribution center being built by Honeywell Intelligrated. Created three iterations of designs that were presented to the project lead and team members, and one was selected as the final design for the merge.Contributed to a large-scale inventory effort ranging across all Amazon sites. On-site in Wako, TX, I identified all parts of the system that were installed at a large Amazon facility and documented an over shipment of spare parts. Created an inventory list of parts and recommended a shipment plan to other sites.Inspected conveyors at a Target Distribution Center in Chicago, IL. Performed inspections on over 1,000 conveyors to verify proper installation and correct operating speeds with multiple installation errors found. Created a punch list for the installation team to identify locations of all errors saving multiple hours of installation troubleshooting.Mentor to first rotation co-ops. Coached three co-ops to onboard them to the Honeywell company and their first project assignments. Organized meetings with them to discuss project work and answer questions.

Hands-on inspection of over 1,500+ conveyor belts in a week at a Target Distribution Center in Logan, NJ. Ensured all were built properly and running at the correct speeds with no issues or catch points. The project was delivered on the “Go-Live” date on time.Designed an experiment to test the function of a product chute to transport items from an upper level to a lower level of the warehouse. From the testing results, I recommended that a new design configuration of the chute system was required, and further testing following my co-op validated a solution similar to my proposal.Created dimension drawings of distribution centers for major companies such as Target, Walmart, and Amazon. Produced drawings of conveyor models in AutoCAD to provide installation with clear dimensions of the system. Contributed to the efficient completion of drawings that were finalized two months prior to the deadline.

As a Project Engineer co-op, I got to work on over 20 assignments during my rotation. I was the lead engineer on most of my projects that I did and would communicate with our customers about their needs and expectations. I operated Faro laser arm scanners and structured blue light systems. I also worked with Polyworks and excel for data processing and interpretation.
