● Write firmware (bare metal C, no OS) for pic24 microcontrollers for data loggers. ● Debug using MPLAB, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and other test equipment● When debugging I identify needed hardware modifications, I then modify schematics and document as needed● I develop methodologies to calibrate firmware for devices that take 24bit ADC readings, store and compress them then communicate these readings over USB(using a CRC algorithm for error checking)to a PC which uncompresses these values into meaningful voltage, temperature or pressure readings.● I optimize for battery life. I manipulate firm ware to sleep at the correct times, and to consume as little power as possible to ensure a robust battery life● Develop test procedures for devices. Give and receive feedback on others test plans. I have no ego when it comes to criticism of my work. I take no criticism in the work place personally. If I have done something incorrectly and someone points it out, I fix it.● Write python scripts to automate test equipment testing, talking with psups, dmms and duts

● Testing of flight software in the language CTL, an ADA derivative● I try to write my test scripts such that if an immaculate 3rd parry were to look at them there would be no mistakes. I am not interested in creating half-baked engineering solutions. ● I review and have reviews of my test scripts● Support and train less experienced staff. Explain what needs to be done to fully cover a requirement. Troubleshoot problems for others. Try and answer questions by explaining how I got to the answer.● I analyze results from all tests on a project to improve their ability to pass. I identify problems and make corrections when needed. It is insufficient to have a test pass once, it needs to be reliable.
