Jacob is from Rineyville, KY and is currently a graduate assistant and student at Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina, pursing a Masters of Education in Higher Education & Student Affairs. Jacob is currently serving within Clemson University’s Bridge to Clemson Program in Academic Advising & Success Initiatives. Previously, he graduated from Baylor University in Waco, TX, earning his Bachelor of Science in Education as an Integrated Studies major with a Leadership Studies minor. He is passionate about serving his community as he works toward leading students in their transition to college and continually seeks to provide resources and programs to create a greater sense of belonging for students at their university. Jacob spent the majority of his time at Baylor University serving through the University's New Student Program's Office & Student Foundation organization. During those four years, he was able to work & volunteer in each of their annual transition programs (Orientation, Baylor Line Camp, Welcome Week, and Welcome Weekend) in a variety of leadership positions for each. As a senior, he was chosen to be apart of Student Foundation’s Steering Committee as its’ Campus Promotions Co-Chair. Under this role, Jacob led the coordination for the 2022 All-University Thanksgiving dinner, a family-styled meal for all of campus, and the 2023 Bearathon and Sic ‘Em 6k Races, a nationally recognized half-marathon located in Waco, TX. Jacob's Higher Education and Student Affairs work has only continued during his time at Clemson University in his Graduate Assistantship with the Bridge to Clemson Program. In the Spring 2024, he completed an internship with Furman University's Office of Student Involvement and is currently serving as an intern in Clemson University's Undergraduate Admissions. In the fall of 2024, he is excited to begin a third internship for the Clemson University Graduate Assistant Recuitment and Selection under the Division of Student Affairs. Additionally, Jacob is an active member of Clemson University Chi Sigma Alpha Beta Chapter, a student affair honor society, and serves as their Internal Vice President. In his 'off time,' Jacob enjoys spending time watching college sports (basketball, football, etc.), photography, traveling, and playing/learning new card games. He has currently traveled to 44/50 US States and has visited 26/63 US National Parks.
