Currently Director of the Office of Policy Analysis at the US Department of the Interior, leading an excellent team in policy analysis, economics, and program coordination. Served a 5-month detail as the acting Deputy Assistant Secretary for Policy and Environmental Management at Interior. Over 20 years in conservation, starting with nine years with the National Park Service and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and extending through today working on national conservation policy in Washington, DC since 2015. Prior to working at Interior, I spent seven years with Defenders of Wildlife, the last 3.5 years as a vice president and the Director of the Center for Conservation Innovation - https://defenders-cci.org - working at the intersection of science, technology, and policy to advance conservation through creative, pragmatic solutions.
