Leading the Office of Policy Analysis (PPA) in policy analysis, economic analysis, and program coordination and leadership to advance the missions of the Department of the Interior and its bureaus.Increase the effectiveness, efficiency, and equity of the Department's work as the Statistical Official for the Department under the Evidence Act.Advance policy outcomes by leading and directing analyses or special studies of (a) national, regional or other needs, (b) program objectives and goals, (c) alternative approaches to meeting objectives and goals which would produce the same or greater benefit at the same or lesser cost, and (d) establishment of relative priorities.Provide expert advice on the integration of natural resource and environmental programs at the Department of the Interior with other agencies of the government consistent with the policies and objectives of the White House, the Domestic Council, the Council on Environmental Quality, Council of Economic Advisors, the National Security Council and other entities within the Executive Office of the President.Ensure the effectiveness, efficiency, and equity of future programs and assure adequate evaluation of departmental program issues and economic alternatives. Provide useful and systematic presentations of program proposals to the Deputy Assistant Secretary, Assistant Secretary, and Secretary.Conduct or supervise major negotiations and/or coordination of leadership assignments to address natural resources and other issues assigned to PPA, such as invasive species and climate change policy.Visit us: https://www.doi.gov/ppa

Serve as a science and policy expert to the Task Force to help advance the policy relevance of the assessments of IPBES. Key areas of interest included development of shorter, high-impact products for decision makers and developing approaches to integrate decision makers much earlier in the assessment process to ensure use-inspired production and synthesis of knowledge.

Volunteer with the project to determine if mountain lions occur in SNP, setting and checking camera traps around the park on a regular basis.

Volunteer with various projects including Piping Plover and Bald Eagle nest monitoring.
