About Jacob Markisohn

After spending over 15 years studying and performing music, I have culminated my career over the past 3 years as a musician in the United States Army Bands. Throughout my career as a musician and a soldier, I have relied heavily on my skills of self-discipline, team-work, adaptability and creative problem solving to accomplish the job. I have spent the past year shifting my focus to learn programming and software engineering so that I can be prepared to tackle a new challenge after leaving the military. After six months of independent programming studying, I have spent the past 4 months in a full-stack coding bootcamp where I have learned the industry standard for full-stack web development. This has been an amazing experience and a rewarding challenge that has made me both confident and excited to enter the world of software engineering.
