I work collaboratively with groups across Manitoba Hydro to provide creative direction and strategic counsel on a variety of far-reaching corporate initiatives and programs. I focus on brand definition and development, as well as integrating brand voice, story and other intangibles with communications efforts and other processes throughout Manitoba Hydro. I conceptualize, develop and lead communications programs and projects, playing creative, client management and project management roles on initiatives that range from cohesive, multi-year campaigns to pieces of one-off collateral related to specific and/or emerging issues affecting distinct audiences.Using data analysis, insight, and good old-fashioned intuition, I evaluate existing communications efforts from a customer/audience perspective with a view to continuous improvement in process and outcomes in pursuit of larger long-term corporate strategic objectives and goals.With a portfolio including touchstone communications material like the Crown corporation's annual report and creative concept development and copywriting on enterprise initiatives, I work to ensure a consistent and coherent brand identity for Manitoba Hydro as it relates to its audiences. I also serve as a spokesperson for Manitoba Hydro to media and external contacts and interested parties, working with internal subject matter experts to respond to issues-based inquiries including in times of crisis.
