Hey there! My names Jake, I am currently a project facilitator at an automated tech roll out company and I specialize in Customer Premise Equipment installations and activations. Let me explain how I became involved in information technology.In my experiences technology and business management go hand in hand. When I was younger my dad owned his own telecommunications business and I got to watch him and experience how tough running a business can be. My father pushed me to go to college for business management so I could learn how to be successful and one day start my own business or take over his small company. Ultimately his company was bought out before I graduated which left me looking aimlessly for my next move. After several years of contemplation I decided I wanted to invest more of my time into learning computers and networking concepts. I earned my A.A.S in networking engineering and I have been in the IT industry for about two years now as a project facilitator. At my current role I enjoy troubleshooting and solving different problems that come with this industry and my core business mindset allows me to function in a more streamlined efficient way as I work through any problems that may come up such as hardware and networking troubleshooting or customer service issues such as explaining highly technical concepts in an easy to understand way so no one feels offended. I am passionate about learning more in the information technology field and I continue to self study and learn everyday so I can be a better IT professional in the future.Currently I am interested in cloud computing concepts such as Microsoft Azure and have begun working towards increasing my proficiency in PowerShell.
