As the Client Solution intern at MSI, my duties revolved around GIS work. Primarily, I acted as project support for various project teams (Bangladesh, DRC, Afghanistan, Philippines, Liberia, etc.) to produce maps for proposals, provide weekly/monthly updates, and assist with varied needs. In addition, I collected data for the design of a series of global base layers in ArcMap/QGIS to be used for current and future projects, with the objective of maintaining consistent symbology and layout throughout the company. Finally, my role included compiling GIS, data collection, and general support documentation for internal practices.

As a GIS contractor for the USHMM I was in charge of producing a map of labor camps in Germany for German Jews for the Encyclopedia of Camps and Ghettos, Volume 6. In order to create this map, I had to review primary source documents to determine the latitude and longitude of labor camps by measuring the proximity to known locations. In addition to this map, I examined shapefiles from past encyclopedia volumes and created a data dictionary of field names and descriptions to be used in the current volume.

Previously, I worked in a desk staff role at the Lerner Health and Wellness center since January 2016, but recently I was promoted to Assistant Manager in May 2018. As an assistant manager, I supervised and assessed up to 10 staff members and 100+ patrons at a time throughout the 189,000 sq. ft. building. I supported patrons and staff in conflict resolution, problem solving and customer service issues and also administered tours of the facility to interested students, faculty and community members.

As a member of the desk staff, I supervised weightlifting and exercise equipment areas and oversaw the lending process of sports equipment and accessories. My general responsibilities included customer service, conflict management and policy enforcement.

As an intern and assistant to the Director of Brand Development at Skindinavia, I oversaw tracking of purchase orders and maintained accounts payables and receivables using Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks. I also assisted the Vice President and Quality Control Team to test specific lot code sprayers for leakage, dispersing volume and spray pattern. This position required both verbal and written communication with prospective domestic and international wholesale accounts in order to foster business relationships.
