Apprentice fitter machinist at Sulzer Perth. I am spending a great deal of time machining, learning how to make specialised parts that include anything from bearing sleeves all the way to custom shafts. This includes being competent with all the various tooling inside a machine shop and understanding tolerance and how much they can affect a job. I also spend a great deal of time in the pump section of Sulzer. As a fitter that specialises in pumps. I am learning how to strip and assess a wide variety of pumps while also learning everything from a bearing inspection all the Way to a complete rebuild. While working with pumps I have gained the knowledge and experience in balancing, from a 7 t rotor to a 1.5kg impeller I have successfully been able to balance any job given to me.
