Responsible for growing the Mortgage and Auto Loan asset book for Standard Chartered Bank Zambia

1) Liaising and managing relationships with key decision makers of corporates who are largely CEOs, CFOs and HR Directors2) Responsible for acquisition, growth and development of the Employee Banking business through provision of high value relationship based sales and service to Corporates and SMEs supported by CVP/multi-product offering (payroll, asset and cross-sales) aimed at meeting corporate and employee needs. 3) Responsible for overall corporate and SME performance and profitability on the Employee Banking scheme.

• Maximizing portfolio income by growing and broadening revenue mix per client by cross selling and thus diversify bank income to avoid over reliance on interest income,• Propose new business development ideas in order to increase the number of new customers• Ensuring all accounts are up to date in terms of loan repayment • Responsible for nurturing and establishing and monitoring a pre-defined portfolio, and• Ensuring timely and efficient collection on a monthly basis of all repayment cheques / schedules and ensuring that all cheques for companies on the portfolio are deposited on Credits Outstanding Suspense (COS) Account to await cheque clearance, and uplifting of the same loan repayments from COS to LOS account upon cheque clearing, • Effective monitoring of all Funds Transfers to LOS account and sending a reconciled schedule to CB Operations for immediate applications of funds to the respective Scheme’s loan customers,• Ensuring that all FIDs due to operation lapses are regularized as per DAS process flow,• Adequate following up of all separation cases and making sure they proceed as per DAS process flow, and ensuring all separation cases are shared monthly with all Stakeholders through a Scheme Separation Tracker,• Following up on all separation cases and ensuring effective retagging of customers by CB Operations as outlined in the DAS process flow, and• Reviewing daily LOS delinquency report and ensuring that separated employees are correctly retagged. • PIL decisioning interms of loan takeovers, DSR (Debt Service Ratio) requirements, and appropriate mitigation of risk through CRB (Credit Reference Bureau) checks,• Understanding the process of collections including both Scheme and Non Scheme,• I understand the foreclosure process in relation to mortgages,• I understand the process of credit excess management, limit enhancements on accounts, and SME credit application process

• Defining business research requirements to meet the strategic objectives, including the development of models for individual project business cases or related projects,• Providing quantitative and qualitative input for sign-off of business case in collaboration with the Programme Manager from Project Sponsor and Steering Committee,• Ensuring that Projects are well funded and that senior management are aware of their responsibilities in providing direction and utilizing research findings,• Prepare current and accurate forecast of costs, cash flow, timescales and resource requirements and agree with the Project Steering Committee,• Identify and manage all programme/project issues and risks including their appropriate escalation and contingency management,• Manage the process of procuring the external supply of resource and services, and lead the negotiation of major contracts with external suppliers, and• Budgeting and Cost Control and ensuring that projects are delivered within timelines.
