I assisted a team to create test plans for pressure relief values on the new xEMU spacesuit NASA is developing.I designed a transport container for the xEMU spacesuit so it can be transferred between testing facilities without damages.

While at NASA Johnson Space Center I worked in the Dynamics Systems Test Branch of the Engineering Robotics Division. I designed a testbed for a Vibration Isolation System for Space Exploration Equipment. While designing the testbed, I executed stress analysis for the frame, customized the counterweight design to function with the testbed, and composed procurement and drawing files.While there I participated in the NASA, DOD, and Combating Terrorism Technical Support Office Bomb-Technician Workshop. I partnered with bomb technicians, NASA engineers, and FIRST robotics students to employ the design process to quickly diagnose and solve problems. From the NASA engineers I learned to step back from a project to maintain a systems perspective.During my second week there I was elected as the NASA Tours and Lectures Lead by the rest of the interns. I directed 7 lectures from notable NASA faculty and facilitate 10 tours of different buildings. While at those tours and lectures, I submitted technology request forms for reserved rooms and gauged a group’s interest while prioritizing their safety.
