My name is Jacob Pfeiffer and I am a Mechanical Engineer at General Dynamics Electric Boat. I work with a team to solve various manufacturing issues that arise at vendor facilities, as well as modifications to current designs and engineering drawings. I use statics and strength of materials concepts to analyze components of a submarine system. I work closely with ASME specifications, military specifications, and GD&T when it comes to designs and drawings.My work interests for the future are mechanical design engineering or mechanical engineering in the aerospace or automotive industries.
