During my second year of Engineering at Griffith University in August 2021 my university friend Daniel Hardy and I established our own media production company known as The Engineering Buzzcast to help bridge the gap between students, professionals, academics and the engineering industry. As the name implies we aim to question these members of the engineering profession about 'what's buzzing' or 'what's new' in the engineering industry in terms of job opportunities, engineering innovation, recent changes to industry and lots more. After hosting and participating in on-campus inter club professional networking events we quickly came to recognise the knowledge gap between the students and the engineering industry as a whole. With the onset of COVID-19 and the rise of online media we quickly recognised that there was a lack of easy to use and up to date accessible information of not only local, but national updates related to engineering aimed at young engineers, so we set out to create one! Establishing a two on one interview style podcast allows us to ask these questions not only made by us, but also sent in by the students themselves, this free flowing conversation aims to provide students with a more friendly and recognisable outlook on the Engineering industry. With this accessible medium we hope to inspire, motivate and stimulate young engineers in the field of STEM and promote the importance of choosing not only a career that suits their skills and aspirations best, but one that they can appreciate!

As marketing coordinator for GUEASS I have been responsible for coordinating our societies marketing and social media prescence both online and in-person throughout our clubs networking and membership sign up events throughout 2021.Whether that be maintaining the Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn pages with all of our societies latest news, or fishing the internet for upcoming professional networking opportunities for students, I aim to maintain my strong relationship with the societies executive committee and members.

My position at GUCED sees me responsible for coordinating and managing all social media accounts and posts accross Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram as well as creating:➤ User friendly QR codes ➤ Posters, and banners for the club's events, competitions, and posts➤ Social engagement principlesCurrently, I am working very closely with the club's president in which I directly assisted in coordinating and establishing an affiliation with Griffith University Engineers Australia Students Society which has allowed us to host a large collaborative networking event night, assisting students in networking and connecting with trade professionals essential for not only advancing their engineering careers but also gaining connections for future competitions or design challenges.
