I believe that there's no one-size-fits-all approach to treating different projects. This is an industry of collaboration, creativity, and constant learning, and I want that to shine through in the music and post-production I have a chance to be a part of. I've worked as a freelance live sound engineer, produced records, taken on post-production for film, and made my way into podcasts and more. Throughout my college studies at Duquesne University's Mary Pappert School of Music, I interned at three separate facilities. At The Magpie Cage in Baltimore, owner J. Robbins gave me my first taste of what it meant to be a working engineer and producer through his wonderful work. At Pittsburgh's MCG Jazz, I worked under five-time Grammy Award winner Jay Dudt, recording live shows from Samara Joy to Arturo Sandoval. As I closed out my college career, I interned with the phenomenal Jesse Naus at Red Caiman Studios in Pittsburgh as they changed locations, which allowed me to assist in both tearing down and rebuilding the guts of a professional recording studio. Through these diverse experiences, I've learned to draw from the best parts of each world in the pursuit of a better final product.
