I teach EFL classes full-time at three elementary schools in Miki City, Hyogo Prefecture. I design and implement EFL lessons for very young learners (1st-2nd grade) and work closely with native Japanese English teachers to co-plan and team-team EFL classes for young learners (3rd-6th grade) based on standards and guidelines set by the national government.

I teach EFL classes at Tokyo International School's Shukugawa Campus in the Saturday school program for young learners (7-8 year olds) using a student-focused, inquiry-based curriculum designed to strengthen creativity, independence and intercultural competence.

I have designed and implemented specialized lessons for a diverse range of students and contexts from middle grades to adults, formal classroom settings to one-on-one sessions, summer reading camp for at-risk youth to ESL workshops for professionals in various fields, all while using research driven methods to guide practice.

The terms "teamwork" and "customer service" really don't capture the magic of this place - we all loved our fellow crew members, we loved our store and we loved getting to know our customers and growing all of those relationships on a daily basis. In addition, I also ordered stock for and managed the Dairy section.

I supplemented certificated staff in all content areas from K-12. My focus was planning and implementing English curriculum for 8th Grade. The flexible schedule of substitute teaching allowed me to also help take care of my elderly father and go back to school to obtain my teaching credential during this period of time.

During beta testing for the tech start-up Eigooo, I provided personalized text based English communication training to adult EFL students and helped guide conversation practice while offering constructive corrections to improve students’ English.

I engaged EFL students by planning and implementing lessons and communicative activities. I made regular visits to 6 different schools in Agatsuma County, Gunma Prefecture in Japan, from Kindergarten to Junior High School. I taught English speaking, listening, reading and/or writing skills to Japanese children aged 5-16.

I assisted college level English and ESL students with homework and helped students recognize and self-correct grammatical errors in writing and speech.

I prepared key documents for attorney review, gathered evidence, performed legal research and assisted in trail preparation and support, serving on multi-million dollar winning trial teams for our multi-national corporate clientele. I also assisted with Litigation Support (LTAS) tasks related to discovery by uploading and maintaining documents in our firm databases using Concordance and Opticon and running simple queries to cull, organize and present relevant data to team members.
