Jacob is an Australian-Ghanaian who has been working in the anti-trafficking field over the last decade, having a background in international development, human rights and advocacy grounded in his faith and family heritage. In addition to serving on the inaugural Office of the NSW Anti-Slavery Commissioner’s Advisory Panel, he is also the CEO of the Global Counter-Trafficking Group (GCG), a for-purpose agency building resilient counter trafficking systems to protect people from exploitation in our region. Most recently he was Head of Counter-Slavery Partnerships at the Chatleigh Foundation where he led the development of GCG and other initiatives. Jacob also volunteers as Chair of the Board of The Freedom Hub, a leading social enterprise that runs a survivor school for survivors of slavery and trafficking around Australia. Jacob has previously held leadership roles at International Justice Mission Australia and World Vision Australia.
