Facilitated by OSLabs, Cydekick is a native application that allows users to generate Cypress tests for React components.Cydekick allows users to visualize component hierarchy and its inner HTML to write tests using a GUI that populates relevant test ids and provides helpful information on what types of parameters each test code should contain.Developed using Electron to gain direct access to the end user's local file directory enhancing user convenience and ensuring data privacy and offline functionality, providing a seamless and secure user experience. Implemented Babel parser to efficiently navigate and extract necessary testing IDs from the user's file directoryUtilized React.js’ component based architecture to create a reusable and modular UI.Leveraged React to seamlessly integrate third-party libraries like ReactFlow for visualizing component/HTML hierarchy and the Monaco Editor for real-time code editing, enhancing the user's ability to create tests effectively.
