I am a graduate student in the NSE PhD program at MIT. I do research in plasma diagnostics, specifically on electron temperature fluctuation measurements in the plasma edge.

I worked on the initial design and development of a new diagnostic to be used on the DIII-D tokamak at General Atomics. This work included an initial physics design to ensure the measurement of specific impurities within the plasma followed by the purchasing of components while following a given budget. I continued my work by developing a proper code base.

I worked to develop an Echelle spectrometer as a part of my undergraduate research thesis. This spectrometer measured emission lines from a plasma to identify various plasma parameters. The work included an initial design to select appropriate components allowing optimal resolution and flexibility. The work concluded with a written thesis and presentation.

I work weekly with college students in Math and Physics helping with homework and test preparation. This is be done one on one as well as in a group settings.

In the summer, and sometimes winter, I work at a boy scout camp. Some summers I've worked in the dish room, but the majority of them I've been teaching merit badges in varying areas: business, technology, handicrafts, environmental, and different fields in science.

Worked with the Tesomas Conservation Foundation to help with the planning and installation of projects at the Crystal Lake Scout Reservation. Most of the time was spent leading the installation of a solar panel system in the camp's Ecology and Conservation area from the projects inception to its completion.
