In my role as an AV Installation Technician II, I work daily as an essential team member to make sure projects are completed on time and within budget. Our integration projects can range from very basic $10K office builds to $20M highly complex visualization and simulation facilities. Often, there is interaction with clients while working onsite. Having a professional appearance, demeanor and good communication skills are a must. Additionally, my areas of strength include my attention to detail, consistency, as well as problem-solving skills when facing unexpected challenges.Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Perform installation tasks for audio visual projects including but not limited to pulling cable, installing connectors, mounting equipment and rack fabrication.• Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints provide red-line corrections as necessary. • Termination of cables via solder and crimp connectors for cable types ranging from audio, video, and network.• Bench test systems, test point-to-point functionality, fault detection, ensuring all firmware is updated and code is loaded correctly.• Mentoring other Technicians in areas in which I am proficient. • Communicate daily job site status to the Project Manager.• Work with manufacturers to initiate return material authorizations as needed.• Review equipment list and work tasks with clients before and after delivery.• Setting up IP Addresses on devices and keeping an organized list of serial numbers and mac addresses.• Travel to various job sites required, in or out of state.See below for relevant coursework.
