Having completed UBC's Mechanical Engineering program with a specialization in Thermofluids and a Minor in Mathematics, I have strong foundational and applied knowledge of HVAC systems, data analysis, and energy management. As an engineer, I plan to join the fight against climate change by pursuing Energy Management and helping both future and existing buildings reduce their energy use. I have a strong technical background and can confidently apply mathematics and physics to solve engineering problems. In particular, I'm comfortable applying principles of Heat Transfer and Fluid Dynamics in the context of HVAC building design. I am also familiar with several programming languages (MATLAB, Python, Julia, Excel) and frequently use these skills to interpret and visualize data.I have a very diverse 'hands-on' skill set. I’ve built, disassembled, and modified Pilot Plants as a Co-op student. I’ve been on countless job sites as either an engineering student, a carpenter’s assistant, or as a skilled labourer. I also have many years experience with bicycle maintenance (see Project Portfolio). Lastly, I have Project Management experience. As a Jr. Project Manager with DFO, I worked with and prepared Proposals, Design Drawings, Cost Estimates, and Equipment Specifications. I often spoke about project logistics and technical details with other PMs, Engineers, and Contractors. I've also taken on Project Coordinator responsibilities for many academic projects, organizing meetings, project timelines, and producing formal technical documentation.
