    Although this job during this past summer was not considered an internship, I would like to consider it as close to a sales internship as possible. I learned numerous things about sales through this sales representative job and it really gave me a hands on feel for the sales environment. I really did not know what to expect going into this job, as I just knew I would be going and selling things, but it really is a bunch more than that. This job taught me how to be independent, after only a few days of training, I found myself driving alone in downtown Chicago at 6 am going to different Mariano's and Walmart stores to see which projects they needed if they were a recurring customer. This job also taught me the importance of cost-benefit analysis for new clients I had to find. It was also my job to find new clients that would take our product, and I had to see which stores would carry them, how much inventory they could keep, how many times they would order a week, and taking all that into consideration, if they were going to be a worthy client for us to work with.Selling product using confident communication to prospective customers Undergoing cost-benefit analysis of current and potential clients Maintain formal business relationships to ensure future sales

    As a painter, I did not know the type of leadership role that was going to be given to me when I first started, I simply thought I was going to be painting houses.
