This entailed creating graphics to share across the campus, with an emphasis on multiple modes of promotion. Each graphic would need to be created to be promoted on social media, various screens across campus, printed posters, and on the Whitworth Outdoors website. In addition to social media management, I also was tasked with updating and improving the website, managing print shop orders to be promoted before a trip, and creating more detailed graphics for larger events. As an intern, I experienced the vast range of what it takes to run a print shop. This included pre-press graphic design projects to prep items for print, creating graphics for clients, managing runs of product on a digital printer, and collating projects to prepare them for completion. Due to this internship, I have discovered the importance of knowing how to design for print which has been put into practice with my work at Whitworth Outdoors and other projects since then.
