I have achieved a 2.1 in Environmental Science BSc at Oxford BRookes University. During my degree I have gained experience in Phase1 and 2 habitat surveys, ISIS invertebrate surveys and surveying Great Crested Newts. I undertook a detailed taxanomic project that focused on fern identification. I have been working as a Graduate Environmental Engineer with Sir Robert McAlpine for 1 year. During this time I have managed the BREEAM assessment on a project whilst also full filling the Document Controller's Position. I have had liaise with both consultants such as BDP, Aecom and Stride Treglown and SCS as well working with sub-contractors. I was given the title of biodiversity champion and was given the task of monitoring all site works that would had an impact on Ecology and had to ensure that any action that was needed to mitigate its effect was under taken. Whilst managing BREEAM I have had to critically study Ecological reports and to highlight to the rest of the site team any ecologically sensitive areas on site. I have lead ecological training for the site work force in the shape of tool box talks. I have organised meetings with client personnel for tanning and progress up dates. I have also lead team meetings that focus on achieving BREEAM targets and protecting the environment.
