Worked in the laboratory of Dr. Glen Li. Conducted research in the fields of renewable bioplastics containing lignin and advanced lignin polymer processing techniques. Research topics include bio-based UV stabilizers for renewable polymers and high molecular weight polymer synthesis using lignin as a precursor. Presented findings at the 2015 Advanced Hardwood Biofuels Annual Conference in Seattle, WA and will present at the 2016 Symposium on Biotechnology for Fuels and Chemicals.
