Jacob Storms is an actor/singer & writer performing in New York City. He attended The American Musical & Dramatic Academy and was a member of the first class of actors at the T. Schreiber Studio's first year long conservatory. He has performed on numerous stages around the country including Carnegie Hall, The Hollywood Bowl, Walt Disney Concert Hall & The Cutting Room in NYC. He has performed in the NY Fringe Festival as well as workshop performances of Napua Davoy's original musical "Fly Me To Miami" & Mark Barkan & June Rachelson Ospa's "Triangle: The Musical." Jacob has originated five roles in five original productions at the Lower East Side's legendary incubator for new work, Theater for The New City. Favorite roles there include Victoria Woodhull's (the first woman to run for President in 1872 with Frederick Douglas as her V.P.) case winning Defense Attorney and The Pope's personal aid in the Vatican. Most recently he performed his one man cabaret show "The Golden Age: A New World" to sold out audiences at The Metropolitan Room and is putting together another show for the Fall season. He is a proud native of Portland, Oregon where he last performed Doug Wright's Pulitzer Prize winning one man play "I Am My Own Wife" to great accolades when he was eighteen years old. Now in his 23rd year he is writing a one man play in which he will portray famous American playwright, Tennessee Williams.
