My primary duties and responsibilities in this role were:* Provide advice on development applications relating to strategic land use matters.* Policy development - research of needs, contextual analysis, stakeholder engagement.* Policy implementation - drafting statutory planning provisions into the planning scheme, training of officers on interpretation of provisions.* Policy evaluation - presentation and review of policy and statutory provisions to relevant internal and external stakeholders.The highlight of my role was contributing to the development and implementation of housing policy to support residential typologies that better meets the needs of Brisbane's current and future communities.

In my experience as a Place Strategist, I have contributed to framing future place propositions for a wide array of places undergoing change, including knowledge and innovation precincts, transit hubs and tourism, cultural or recreational assets of regional significance. I have also contributed to place visioning for a broad range of residential propositions including build-to-rent develoments and mixed-income housing.A highlight of my experience in this role has been project managing the delivery of an audience engagement program to support the master planning process of a mixed-use, transit and university precinct being developed north of Brisbane.In 2020 I was awarded the Studio THI Chairman's award.
