As an operations manager in the U.S Navy's Nuclear Propulsion Program with over twelve years of experience, I have had the opportunity to develop many highly desirable skills. Throughout my career I have been afforded the time to act in many different capacities such as; maintenance technician, operator, instructor, and in multiple management positions.As the Reactor Control Leading Chief Petty Officer on board the USS Virginia I was responsible for the first in class upgrade of the entire instrumentation and control suite, as well as all electrical power generation and conversion equipment. My time in this position allowed me to hone my skills in project management while applying agile concepts. Focusing on "depth of bench" I was responsible for training multiple diverse teams in all aspects of operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment under my cognizance. Under my direction team members were consistently recognized for superior performance in their duties, and for their high level of knowledge in all areas related to engineering.As a Senior Technical Instructor for the Navy's Nuclear Field "A" School I was a member of the team responsible for training all prospective students in complex engineering concepts related to Electronics. Having a 97% completion rate I was recognized as a top instructor. In this position I quickly refined my teaching abilities allowing me to provide technical instruction to any level of student knowledge.
