RISE provides professional crew members for events from music festivals and concerts, to corporate parties and high-end weddings. Our crew has extensive experience in Site Operations, Stage Construction, Lighting, Audio, Video, Rigging, and more, for events large and small. As CTO, I help manage our backend systems that keep the operation running. But my role extends further.I have my hands in the project management of our large scale music festivals, managing crews that can range from 100-300 members. I am an on site administrator for various smaller festivals for which RISE takes a more important role. I have experience as a crew lead for high-end corporate and private events that can often rival theater scale concerts with their production, and I don't shy away from pushing cases and building stages with our crew.Most importantly, I help manage our relationships with our crew. It takes a strong balance of problem solving, compassion, knowledge, and self care to attend to the needs of dozens of crew, camped together in harsh conditions for weeks at a time. Without strong leadership, the infrastructure required to host tens of thousands of people at some of the world's greatest events couldn't be built.I am honored to be a part of what makes the magic happen for the people who make the magic happen.

Solo developer for our flagship iOS app, LawnGuru, a mobile platform for lawn care and snow plowing services, streamlining the process for both service providers and customers. I lead a team of developers working on an Android app, web app, and a custom CRM / sales system.

Going to concerts / music festivals to set up projection equipment and art installations. VJ with said equipment (VJ is like DJ but with videos, providing the visual experience for the audience). Building content for our custom software. Researching to build installations. Product R&D. Playing with micro controllers. Basically finding cool things to make and making them.

Over the summer of 2013, I was e-mailed and asked if I would like to return to Roush. I told them I was interested, but wanted to know about making more money than the previous year. They told me that they could give me a position with overtime, but it would be a manual labor job rather than one in the air conditioned office. I spent my summer working 60 hours a week, waking up at 4:30 to make it to work in time, and not getting home until 6:30 or later most nights. I worked hard, earning the respect of my superiors as well as an understanding of what my education is really worth.

I was hired into Roush for the Summer of 2012 with the title of Technician, but was intended to be general help where it was needed. I ended up working as a Build Coordinator, helping to oversee the building of prototype module assemblies. Duties included putting together and managing build files, organizing shipments, being the bridge between engineers and technicians when changes needed to be implemented, and attending daily meetings with supervisors and the Ford manager to report current build status. If I completed my duties early, I would request to help the guys on the floor build the modules, to gain experience working with tools and become more familiar with the products being developed.
