I am a dedicated professional with 5 years of administrative and student experience in higher education. I hold an Associate in Arts Degree in Education from Harper College graduating with Magna Cum Laude honors and recently graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Northern Illinois University. I aspire to work in higher education by getting my Master of Arts Degree in Educational Administration from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.While at Harper College, I gained first-hand experience in learning customer service and assisting students with their financial aid and registration in a hybrid fashion. I utilized Ellucian Banner Back Office, Harper's ERP system, and Salesforce, a CRM system used to report inbound and outbound calls and note important information gained from the calls to improve the overall student experience. I gained a working knowledge of key student services departments such as admissions, testing, registration, financial aid, academic advising, and other academic division offices. I also gained a better understanding of the higher education landscape.While at Elgin Community College, I gained first-hand experience in the testing area by learning how to administer and proctor exams offered by the institution (i.e. ALEKS, College Success, CLEP, ICB, CASAs, PearsonVUE, etc.). I assisted the department with long-term projects such as viewing, scoring, and score-checking scores through Ellucian Colleague, ECC's Higher Education ERP system with 100% accuracy and reported any discrepancies to the designated supervisors with a turn-around rate of 1-3 business days.While at Western Governors University, I continue to not only hone my customer service and administrative skills, but also participate in extensive training in a variety of areas through service excellence and DEI to support a student's lifecycle through the time they start their academic journey at WGU and when they end their journey at WGU through the support and assistance of Student Support Specialists and Managers, Service Desk Staff, Escalations Support Specialists, and Program Mentors. I also continue to understand the unique culture of WGU's competency-based education model and how to best serve students and staff under this model through the application of the training received.
