My name is Jacob Wainglass. At a young age I grew an intense passion for the water and wanted to continue down that channel. I served in the US Coast Guard as a Boatswains Mate and a Boarding officer. In the Coast Guard I was a Petty Officer in charge of subordinates as well as ran multiple programs at my units, often holding responsibility above my pay grade. I also received multiple leadership awards during my time in service. Since, my separation from the service I have spent time in the HVAC industry, the Interior Finish industry, and have spent most of my time in the Sportfishing industry. The Sportfishing industry has provided me with intangible skills that go well past “just fishing”. It has given me experience in multi million dollar asset management, having the chance to not only work on a boat but within some of my prior employers business’, and most of all to consistently be around successful business owners giving me the chance to just listen! Many different lessons, experiences, and opportunities have helped form me into who I am today. Instead of viewing my time in different fields as instability, I view it as opportunities that have given me a well-versed skillset. Ultimately helping me chase my goal of owning my own business in the future.
