Jacob started building his foundation internship at Allstate through his participation in the Year Up Program.  Year Up is a one-year, intensive training program that provides highly motivated young adults with hands-on technical training, professional skills development and college credits. Jacob has always had a passion for technology. In high school he started a business fixing phones and computers for friends and family. This experience led him to Year Up, where he had the opportunity to get additional tech training, a mentor and loads of professional skills. During his time there, Jacob studied various IT courses that improved his hard and soft skills as a young professional. Year Up has provide Jacob with the skills he needs to excel and grow in the corporate world. Jacob is a motivated hard worker with a desire to be successful in corporate America. Staying hungry and being open to learning keeps Jacob’s gears rolling to do big things. Also, being the open-minded person Jacob is today will be beneficial down the road as a young professional embarking in his career. Moving forward, Jacob plans to obtain as many certifications to build up his platform as a professional.
