Software developmentPublic speakingAre two areas of my professional life that I focus the most time and energy.I am current employed as a software developer with Best Practice Software. I get to work on their class leading product, Premier. I employ a number of technical skills in the role that I have grown and developed throughout my time at university. Included C#, databases, OOP all in an agile/scrum methodology. Being given the freedom to tackle complex problems independently and then being able to rely on a supportive team to back me up when I come across something a bit new and a bit too tricky is amazing! Because of this my knowledge of native applications has exploded.Best Practice as a larger company is also enabling me to exercise my public speaking muscles by giving me the opportunity to engage with high school students in the community. To help spread the word of IT and software development.I continue to look forward to new learning, growth and networking opportunities that come my way!
