As the Founder and CEO of Digital NEST, I have dedicated the past decade to leading a tech workforce development hub that empowers Latinx and all underserved youth with the skills, resources, and network they need to thrive in the digital economy. My mission is to bridge the digital divide and create opportunities for young people in rural communities, ensuring they can access the economic and social benefits of technology.Throughout my career, I have been honored with recognitions such as the James Irvine Foundation Leadership Award, the Draper Richards Kaplan Foundation Entrepreneur Fellowship, and the 2015 Entrepreneur of the Year for Santa Cruz County. I’ve had the privilege of sharing my vision at TEDx and other prestigious events, where I speak on fostering the next generation of tech talent and innovators. In addition to my work at Digital NEST, I serve as an External Special Adviser to the UCSC Chancellor and as an Advisor for Reservoir Ventures, a modern investment firm focused on supporting entrepreneurs in Central California and the Monterey Bay Area. I am committed to advocating for diversity and inclusion, and I do not participate in all-male panels.

Founder & CeoDigital Nest Jan 2014 - PresentWatsonville, Ca, UsDigital NEST (Nurturing Entrepreneurial Skills with Technology) provides Latinx and all underserved youth with the skills, resources, and network to build confidence and launch successful careers. Our communities were historically locked out of the economic opportunity and digital innovation brought by the tech to other California communities. We knew that our kids deserve the very best to nurture their talents, wisdom, and passions so we built our own thriving center for technology and empowerment that prepares our young people to prosper in the workforce. Digital NEST spins a web of connection and opportunity across the entire community.Through training, peer collaboration and professional mentorship, youth are supported in mastering the technological skills they need to pursue higher education and careers in our globally connected world. Its members work with state-of-the-art technology in a safe and learning-focused environment.Digital NEST is working to create sustainable and scalable technology centers in vulnerable communities all over California, creating economic equality for the residents of low income and rural communities, teaching young people the technology skills needed to become competitive and self-sufficient in the digital future. -
