The Virtualization Technology Lead is responsible for coordinating the Managed Services Virtualization team’s product onboarding, ongoing training, and problem management with Service Delivery Management and internal stakeholders. The Technology Lead position requires outstanding communication and organization skills, as well the drive to achieve a strong understanding of our Managed Cloud products and service support models. Train and mentor other team members and act as a high-level escalation point for products and technical issues.

Quickly respond and resolve critical service outages severely impacting consumersEstablish performance baseline, capacity thresholds, correlate events, and define monitoring/alerting criteriaDevelop automated solutions to address potential problems before they result in a service interruptionProvide impact assessment and mitigation plan for changes going into the production environmentInvestigate root cause of severe and systemic outages, identify corrective actions and apply across the enterpriseWorking closely with the other infrastructure teams to ensure the smooth delivery of IT solutions to all clientsOngoing configuration and maintenance of IT supported hardware and software standardsEnsure timely resolution of high severity incidents, including communications, reporting, and tracking of follow-ups.Providing IT services that meet and exceed customer expectationsInterpret and/or discuss information with others, which involves terminology or concepts not familiar to many people; regularly provide advice and recommend actions involving rather complex issues

Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities.
