In this role, I managed sub-contractors, vendors, and conducted routine maintenance and construction work. While completing construction work and maintenance:I created solutions for general managers related to building operational and safety issues. I completed tasks that required carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical skills. I cleaned and fixed lowboy and walk-in refrigerators. Diagnosed problems within building mechanical systems, and built and refinished furniture.While managing sub-contractors on restaurant remodels: I was responsible for the punch list, scheduling the work to reduce trade stacking, championed safety, wrote scopes of work, and performed quantity take-offs and supply runs. While managing vendors:I came up with solutions to reduce costs. Built relationships to ensure quality work and timely service. Monitored work and reported tasks completed to general managers.
