I am a Senior Data Scientist at CAS, a division of the American Chemical Society, where I develop novel bioinformatic solutions using machine learning, deep learning, and natural language programming. Recently, I led the data science efforts for a team that developed a heterogeneous knowledge graph-based approach to identify repositionable therapeutics for COVID-19. This work was published in the Journal of Chemical Information and Modeling. This knowledge graph work is the foundation for the Life Sciences Knowledge Graph that is featured in CAS BioFinder. I have been invited to present at international conferences including the Brazil Innovation Summit, BioData World in Switzerland, and the Gordon Research Conference on Nonproliferation, Counterproliferation and Disarmament Science. I have also presented at the 18th and 19th International Conference on Human Retrovirology: HTLV in Tokyo, Japan and Lima, Peru respectively and at the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory Meeting on Retroviruses in Cold Spring Harbor, New York. In my role delivering CAS Custom Solutions, I have consulted with multiple Fortune 500 pharmaceutical companies around the world. I have 11 publications in peer-reviewed journals.
