Force protection provision of a forward US Military installation supervising 108 armed static guards in the restive province of Kandahar. Responsible for recruiting, hiring, and training Afghans to be proficient in base defence procedures such as entry check point control and tower/perimeter security and defence. The Afghans are trained to be proficient in use of the AK-47 and PKM, and able to operate US crew served weapons such as M240/MK19 if necessary and provide an invaluable manpower asset to the US Military client. I am directly responsible for Health and Safety, living accommodation, food supply, leave rotations, training, adhering to CENTCOM/ACOD requirements for armed guards, and controlling/directing fire when base attacks occur from Taliban/AGE (anti-government elements). I am required to maintain a meticulous database and assist the military in initial and periodic screening and vetting of ASG guards and applicants. Successfully managed 3 separate US Army base defence projects during my time with the company including mobilization and demobilization of 2 of those contracts. Completed my contractual obligation and accepted job offer from another regional PSC.
