Developed a cardiopulmonary bypass system to study mechanisms of disease (e.g., stroke)

Investigated and developed drug screening assays to study the effect of anticholinergics on overactive bladder syndrome (OBS).

Investigated new pharmaceutical interventions for the treatment and prevention of ocular diseases.

Currently, there is no effective way of analyzing data from the ever-expanding field of OCTA including understanding the role played by age, gender, race, refractive errors, hypertension, and diabetes. We developed a deep learning tool that can parse OCTA data facilitating the diagnosis of early glaucoma and its progression and will rule out non-glaucoma conditions.

Selected as 1 of 10 fellows in the world. My work with Dr. Petroll included Aim 1: Assessment of corneal stromal remodeling and regeneration after UV-Crosslinking procedures and corneal keratocytes' cell migration pattern changes. Aim 2: Investigating the biophysical behavior of corneal keratocytes using live-cell labeling.

Principal Investigator: Dr. David Schmidtke. Developed a novel method to fabricate biomimetic, aligned collagen substrates that allow in vitro investigation of the corneal stroma and keratocytes in response to various biochemical and physical cues.
