I'm a communications and marketing expert, writer, editor, photographer, videographer, and policy wonk. I'm interested in telling good stories and building effective integrated communications plans. I am a one-man creative department, but also love collaborating and working on teams. I like working with multiple content streams and fine-tuning them so they all sing in harmony.Most recently I served as the director of content development at the International Bridge, Tunnel and Turnpike Association (IBTTA) where I served as the organization's chief storyteller. Previously I worked for the American Gas Association (AGA) where I specialized in digital communications and audience building with a specific focus on enhancing the impact of the organization’s website. Before that I was Associate Director of Communications with the Plastics Industry Association (PLASTICS) where I was responsible for supporting PLASTICS' rebrand, as well as its advocacy, outreach and business development units as a jack of all trades on the communications team. Prior to PLASTICS I was employed for nearly eight years in various communications and government affairs positions by the National Association of Credit Management (NACM), an organization that represents commercial trade creditors and financial risk managers. I've worn many hats in my career, often simultaneously juggling responsibilities ranging from developing multi-stream integrated communications plans; writing and editing articles, press releases, fact sheets, talking points, event coverage, ad copy and policy briefs; and shooting and producing videos to pitching the media; conducting online research and analysis; delivering presentations; and using communications to advocate for legislative changes through direct contact and grassroots mobilization.I am a trained writer, and I enjoy accumulating new interests and expertise.
