I helped my colleagues and customers to imagine the possibilities of technology through research, evangelization, architecture and implementation.• Evangelized Microsoft Azure platform internally and with existing and prospective customers which led to implementation of Microsoft Azure infrastructure migration projects. Conducted Proof of Concepts and Lunch and Learns around Remote App, Site-to-Site VPNs, Hybrid Environments, Backup, Site Recovery Manager, Terminal Servers and Infrastructure.• Architected and implemented infrastructure migration projects to Azure for 15-45 users. Projects involved Site-to-Site VPNs, hybrid connectivity, new servers and data and application migrations.• Performed pre-sales consultations with customers around technology challenges and roadmaps for their organizations. Architected, proposed and implemented technical solutions around Windows Server, SQL Server, Hyper-V, VMWare, Office 365 and other technology solutions.• I spread my passion for PowerShell and its capabilities throughout the organization by continually working with co-workers to identify recurring events that were then written into scripts and which were made available to all team members• Researched technology solutions such as wireless, backups, spam filtering, file synchronization and security. Demonstrated how solutions could improve the level of service that we provided to the customer and how they could provide value to the client.• Conducted cross departmental proof of concept using PowerBI on utilizing the information stored across multiple SQL Servers and SQL Server Databases to gain insight into our customers and our own operations. Presented proof of concept to executive management staff resulted in Lutz pursuing business intelligence services as a possible offering for our customers and for use internally.

I worked closely with software development teams and my own team members to implement automation solutions and technologies to improve upon existing manual processes.Selected Achievements:• Saved Nebraska Furniture Mart over $200,000 in 2014 by automating existing manual processes and procedures using PowerShell and Systems Center applications as outlined below.• Implemented PowerShell solution to grant application development teams secure remote access to servers using so they could rapidly deploy and test when they wanted instead of relying on the availability of infrastructure engineers. Number of deployments increased from 2-4 times per week to 4-6 times per day. • Create PowerShell automation solutions for new employee onboarding, licensing users in Office 365 and application deployments that integrated with Service Now and employee onboarding process.• Leverage PowerShell and System Center Operations Manager to provide custom monitoring and alert resolution for applications and servers which resulted in greater visibility into application performance and quicker resolution of application performance problems• Participate in daily Agile stand-up meetings with development teams
