Public Speaking. More people would literally rather die than speak in front of an audience.Me? I'd rather not die...For 8 years I have been:- teaching in the classroom- writing and delivering presentations- speaking at conferences to audiences of 1000sWhile developing public speaking skills, I noticed that these skills began soaking into my day to day life.- Thinking more about the person I’m in a conversation with.- Craft my thoughts more concisely and winsomely.- Using body language more effectively.And then one day... it hit me.Through public speaking I have learned engaging communication skills, and engaging communication skills have allowed me to navigate life with more success!I feel confident.I can read people better.I am more bold in addressing conflict.I am more charismatic in social settings.While pondering this revelation, I thought about the common pain points my friends bring up at work.They can’t figure out how to word an email well…Giving a presentation at the next meeting is making them anxious…A manager at work made them feel belittled with the way he/she spoke to them…A lack of communication skills is at the center of it all.You don't have to become a professional public speaker to learn engaging communication skills, but maximizing the success you have in your career and life requires engaging communication skills.I help people learn and leverage engaging communication skills to do just that.Whether you are- an industry pro looking to jump to the next level of your career- a recent grad entering the first stage of your career- or just wanting to nail that next presentationMy passion is to help professionals develop the communication skills that will launch them into career success, while making the journey all the more fun.Let me know how I might be able to help you.
