Jacob Connor is a composer and producer from Manchester, UK, living in the San Francisco Bay Area. Over the past 7 years he has worked on feature films, several multiple award-winning short films, a commissioned symphony for the Manchester International Festival and long form branded content documentaries. Being a classically trained trombonist, drummer and all round multi-instrumentalist gives Jacob a flexibility in sound, style and skillset. He has released several individual electronic releases under the moniker jon b raccoon, working with artists from the UK and the US.Jacob’s detailed process of creating a sonic language with directors and artists helps create music perfect for scoring, and a soundscape that is unique to every project. Known for his cerebral blend of organic and synthesized palette, he creates modern music that asks questions. His recent album Andromeda with Frisson Music is was shortlisted for Best Ambient/Minimal release at The Production Music Awards, and is now working on several projects due for release next year with award-winning composer Ian Arber. The Scale of Hope, a Patagonia documentary he worked on as music editor and additional music composer, now resides in the permanent collection at the MoMA.
