Upwall Design specializes in custom homes and renovations. At Upwall Design, Jacob is the manager in charge of construction document production. He works closely with the other managers to translate design ideas in to CDs. Jacob helps maintain quality control to ensure drawing sets are always accurate.

Completed work as part of a team dedicated to primarily commercial restaurants. Experience in both ground up construction and renovation to meet client's needs. Requirements included: dealing directly with clients, consultants, and contractors, creating and modifying drawings, interacting with city officials, performing code analysis and review, responding to submittals and RFIs, performing building punch lists, and any other tasks required to successfully complete a project.Primarily utilized AutoCAD, SkechUp, Revit, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Microsoft products.

Returning to Ark Bild to continue working as an intern. Duties include: producing drawings, meeting and communicating with clients, meeting with consultants and conducting site visits. This is a very self driven and self directed position. There is little contact with the principle of the firm as he has relocated to a different city. Worked on a $10 million integrated marketing campaign to raise brand awareness of the Glidden paint brand in Walmart stores.Participated in strategy creation, representation and implementation by being part of the design and creative team.Coordinated with the media and PR teams to ensure clear representation of ideas.Took part in team discussions regarding qualitative and quantitative research methods.

Special week long internship program. Completed feasibility studies. Includes the building of a physical model for representation to the client.

Took part in a project that involved the design and construction of a memorial for the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition 7-in-7 that took place in Joplin. I was enlisted in a management and coordination role.

Responsibilities included: client meetings, design, material selection, construction documents, pricing/budgeting and construction. Completed as part of a five person team.Utilized Autodesk Revit.
