The Future Generations Global Ambassadors programme is a group of 25 young people mobilising and advocating for future generations. The mandate of the Ambassadors is to share their vision for youth leadership in the future generations agenda and helping to shape the future of the Future Generations Leadership Accelerator.The inaugural Future Generations Leadership Accelerator was designed and launched in 2022 to empower young people from around to take their places as future generations leaders. This first cohort had 345 young leaders from more than 42 countries around the world participate. Their contributions also led to the creation of the Contract for Our Future presented at Stockholm+50 which captured a powerful call to action for Member States to protect the interests of future generations.

My main purpose is to work with the Future Generations Commissioner for Wales as part of her senior leadership team to develop and deliver a comprehensive approach to Public Affairs, drawing insight into the team.I work directly with the Commissioner as her international liaison, working to consolidate the support of the United Nations and the Organisation for Economic and Co-operation and Development. As part of my role, I work to establish strong relationships with leaders and decision makers in Welsh Government and the National Assembly for Wales.

At the Office of the Future Generations Commissioner for Wales I am responsible for advising the Commissioner on her work and strategy. My other responsibilities include communications, her international learning and reach, delivering her involvement work and maintaining relationships with various stakeholders. Occasionally I present workshops and deliver speeches.

The UNF Next Generation Fellows are selected to represent distinct work streams. I am responsible on supporting UNF, young people, partners and UN agencies to embed future generations into policymaking and governance structures.

As one of the Directors of Literature Wales, I am responsible for assisting the Senior Management Team and staff in delivering its objectives and strategy. I was elected Deputy Chair in 2018 and later its Acting Chair in 2019. Both positions came to end in 2019. Established in 2011 as one of the Arts Council of Wales’ National Companies, Literature Wales’ role is to facilitate and stimulate literature programmes and events throughout Wales, and promote the best of our literatures internationally. We also develop and support the writers of Wales at every stage of their literary journey.

I provide general Secretariat support for the organisational running of the Network of Institutions for Future Generations. This includes arranging meetings, facilitating discussions, commissioning research, representing the Network and supporting the Network Executive.

At Newyddion 9 (Welsh language TV News), I was responsible for researching, producing and editing daily news for a diverse audience. I was in weekly contact with politicians and organisations, and maintained relationships with press officers and other journalists. While at the BBC, I too co-presented Ffeil (Welsh language young people's TV news) occasionally. Internally, I was also one of the BBC Wales' Mental Health First Aiders with responsibilities for making staff aware of appropriate support.

As President of AUSU I too became Chair of the Board of Trustees where I led and represented 10,000 students and sat on several University and community committees including University Council, Finance and Strategy, Academic Board, Investments and Court. During my elected role, I reformed Human Resources policies, initiated several projects and developed campaigns. As President, I was also the Managing Director of AUSU Trading.

I held this post for two years and initiated a NUS Wales Welsh Language Charter for all Students’ Unions, which was adopted all across Wales. As a Liberation Officer I sat on the National Union of Students Wales National Executive Committee and assisted in supporting the students’ movement.
