When I was younger, my Grandfather used to jokingly refer to me with various nicknames that described who I was as a person. He called me the "Human Garbage Disposal", which I believe was in reference to how many chicken wings I could put away at the age of 12. On a more serious note, he often referred to me as the "Human Swiss Army Knife" because he said I did a "little bit of everything". I enjoyed almost every sport, I liked a ton of hobbies, and I found joy in discussing a wide variety of subjects. It's difficult to be an expert when you're spread so thin, but I think that my value lies in my ability to do many things well - and with passion.I believe being adaptive is an intangible trait. I love structure, but I never mind being thrown a curve ball. Life is about experiences, and I believe that your workplace should be the same way. As a Project Manager, every day can be a little different, especially when you are managing a ton of projects. Currently, I work for the Community Development Program of Beaver County where I manage Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Housing & Urban Development (HUD) funded projects. Primarily, these projects are civil engineering and infrastructure, but they vary quite a bit, and sometimes include libraries, parks, and facility rehabilitation. I find great joy working "for" other people, and doing my part to help communities that need it the most.I have spent the majority of my adult life in service to others. After high school, I joined the military, and eventually went on to work for a non-profit, youth-serving organization for 6 years before ending up here in Beaver County. I also volunteer with Scouting programs in my area at numerous levels, which allows me to still work with youth. I have gained a lot of experience, met a lot of great people, and done a lot of tremendous work - with the help of many supporting figures - that has brought very much meaning & happiness to my life.
