I’ve always been drawn to taking things apart, putting them together, and helping others, and know I’ve found my calling in biomedical engineering. I’m passionate about combining math, science, and engineering to design innovative solutions that make a difference for those struggling with medical challenges, including the loss of limbs.Here are a few of my projects that combine technology, science, and innovation: • Helped created a game to help children overcome speech disabilities• Developed a device that improved patient quality of life and ability to work• Challenged to design an automatic s’mores machine in 2-month summer engineering program Engineering is about taking risks, trying new and creative solutions, and working in teams. I’ve learned to embrace failure as a pathway to success because while showing us what doesn’t work, it inspires and motivates us to try something else. What could’ve made this better or more efficient?
