16 years in the US Navy blessed me with a variety of unique experiences, and a set of skills that many leaders seek to replicate, but can never duplicate.I've been a part of many extremely talented teams, leading highly skilled, diverse groups in establishing, maintaining, and overhauling programs aimed at maximizing efficiency, reducing waste, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. Quality assurance officer, program management and auditing, and production control manager are some of the most challenging, and rewarding, management experiences that I have been involved in. These roles have given me an appreciation into what it takes to develop the skills of a team to meet demanding expectations, while also learning to appreciate the importance of each team member, and the value their individual experiences bring to the table in any environment, local or on the other side of the world.
